A hole needs to be drilled through a 2x10 floor joist. The hole has to be big enough for a 3" pipe. This pipe is for a new toilet. Do I need to have a structural engineer run calculations for reinforcing the joist? Can you recommend anyone to complete the drilling and/or calculations? I live in Mission Viejo, CA.
I am installing a new bathroom. The new toilet placement would only be about 5' from an existing toilet. I would like to have someone connect the new toilet drain to the existing toilet drain. I have permits for the job and would like certification for this work to show the city inspector. I would like to get started in the next week. If anyone can help, please let me know.
