Heidi - There is a product available called Klenk's Tub & Tile Epoxy. It has been around for years - if you follow the directions on the box TO THE LETTER - it works very well.
Expect your shower to be out of commission for at least a week - while all this is done.
Klenk's is available at The Home Depot - and most paint and hardware stores.
