I have a Carrier gas furnace, size 120 BTU. The secondary heat exchange unit rusted out because the silicone sealer flaked off and got into the primary burner assembly tubes. I am told that Carrier has had an ongoing problem with the heat exchange units (approximately 300 units. What, if any, has been the consumer notification by Carrier to its distributors and the public? Thank You.
