We are currently looking to purchase a home that has asbestos siding that looks in very good shape (haven't had an inspector look at it yet). Is this a property we should not buy? Is it a problem for resale value? Should we cover it with vinyl siding? If we cover it with vinyl, when reselling to you tell potential buyers that there is asbestos underneath or is it no longer an issue?
