We currently have hardwood floors on the first level of our house and would like to remove the carpet from the staircase and the second level and complete the remaining of the house with hardwood floors. We are running into a problem with the staircase. We would like to remove the carpet from the stairs and put down hardwood steps but we can't seem to get help from any hardwood places that we have called. Basically, we are trying to eliminate having to build another staircase. Do you have any ideas, suggestions or anyone you can refer me to that knows what they are doing. Also, anyone we have called that specialize in stairs basically don't want to be bothered with a small job, they mostly work with builders.
