We are in desperate need of help with these tiny
flies. No exterminator or city dept. will help us. They are coming from the trap in the basement where the sewer pipe leads out to the street, but they're not coming from the pipe itself. They seem to be coming from the dirt around it. We have been using fly paper to catch them and each night we have thousands of them. We had the sewer pipe cleaned and some of the soil in the trap dug up, but nothing seems to help. We have tried drano and lime powder on the soil. This is going on for several months. We are very worried that this could be a health hazard. Please help us. No one else has.
