I sanded my bedroom fir floor and applied water base stain then used water base poly, gloss. I've never used water base before. I applied 4 coats thinly and the finish didn't get real glossy, so the fifth coat I put on a little heavier and now it looks wavy and bumpy, have I screwed the finish up. I haven't sanded after the fifth coat as I don't know what'll happen.
