i just removed latex paint that leaked through the cloth drop cloth with Oxi-clean.
wet it down, and then rag it up... some spots were on the way to drying, i just used more Oxi- clean and a little more elbow grease.
now i have clean spots in the carpet.
i'm quite sure a similar cleaner would work just fine.
