I just purchased the RL Suede and had the same problem. After reading the directions on the back of the paint can it said to let the first coat dry for at least four hours before applying the second coat. The 2nd coat is suppose to be done with a brush using the "X" techinque. After doing this technique my walls turned out beautiful!
