Brendon, start with your building dept. Simplest
thing would be to just ask them the question. If
you're intent on getting the actual code books,
ask what model code, if any, (eg. ICBO, BOCA)
they use and what local amendments they have
added. Next, start at www.cabo.org and find your
way to the appropriate org. Be prepared to shell
out some bucks. The UBC from ICBO, for example, is
a 3 volume set and goes for around $175.
