My husband has been trying to get a contractor to dig the footings for a steel building. The problem is that they either want an arm and a leg or they don't bother to show up for an estimate. How difficult is this process? While my husband is clueless, I do have some basic construction knowledge.
The building is a 25'X 38' structure. There is fill of about six feet on the lower side of the site. How many piers would be required for the cement floor and how deep would each need to be?
Seriosly thinking about renting that backhoe myself. I can drive a towmotor!
