I recently took down a wall separating the kitchen and family room. The kitchen has 2 layers of plywood sub-floor and linoleum while the family room has 3/4 oak strip over a single layer of plywood sub-floor. I'd like to continue the oak into the kitchen (the same syle is available) but am not sure if using real wood in the kitchen is a good idea. Is there any special sealer one can use for such an application?
