Lead in paint poses no threat if it is encapsulated.
The fact that your home was built in 1929 suggests that somewhere under all those layers of paint there is lead paint.
However, it is wholly unlikley the house has not been painted since the early 70's and it is wholly unlikely that your lead paint is not encapsulated.
Lead paint, like asbestos, poses problems to those who are only CHRONICALLY exposed for the most part or who are exposed as children during crucial physical stages of development.
'Leasd Paint' should NOT be a consideration to not buy this home imho.
