On each sheet of drywall (drywall) to hold it in place until the screws can be installed. Using all nails these days is a no-no.
However, sometimes the nails aren't always to blame. The wood joists/studs could have had a high moisture content when the drywall was installed, and shrunk as it dried out, thus leaving the nail "pops".
