I have two stucco ceilings and the first is in my mud- room and I had to do at little repair work and now I am sanding to smooth out the repair. I's Like to re-stucco the the ceiling only with a half moon decoration but I'd like to know if I should remove the old stucco and actually start all over again? Now in my foyer I have a ceiling that is in need of repair. The stucco has peeled off in different areas. I don't want to have to re-stucco the whole ceiling. I also have some walls that are cracked like you would cracked a hard- boiled egg which are in need of repair. Could I use pre-mixed plaster or wall board or should I let you tell me what to do. I would like to put in a laminated floor in the hallway of the second floor and do you think a laminated floor will last a good 15-20 years or should I just put in a hardwood floor for durability. I also have a wall that is pertruding outward or a lump that wasn't smooth out and can I break it open and place a piece of that gauze like cloth and fill it in? Yes as you probably have guessed my house is old. About 104 years old and I'm trying to get it in shape as best as I able to. I have those sliding doors of yesteryear that separates my lvrm from dnrm and they are in pretty good shape except for one has a piece missing in the corner at the top where the two doors meet. It is an old New England Dutch Colonial.
