This is my first project. Could I use fiberglass joint tape and joint compound, that is recommended for dry wall repair, to repair ceiling cracks the length of the room prior to painting. Also could I use the joint coumpond to repair cracks without the fiberglass sheeting for small cracks in the plaster. Thanks
