We have been in our newly built house for five winters. All of a sudden the floor in our rec-room (den) started to squeek as we walk in front of the sofa. The TV is opposite the couch.
The floor has carpeting on it and the sub flooring is plywood. In the basement, there is insulation in between each rafter so I can't see the sub-flooring.
How do I resolve the squeeking once I do take the insulation away?
