I have a bi-level house with an overhang between the upper and lower level with a soffet underneath the overhang. The soffet has grooves with small vents every five or so inches. There is not any actuals vents in each soffet like there is between the attic and the upper level. Spiders are coming in the holes. How can I best stop them? Can I caulk some shut and put screening over the other holes? Any other ideas? I've been reading that soffet vents should not be blocked to prevent airflow in attics. Is this also the case for the soffet holes between the upper and lower level of a bi-level house?
