JT--Thanks for your suggestion about the nail puller. Since the heads of the nails are sticking up and I wouldn't have to drive the jaws of the nail puller into the wood, I have decided to give it a try. I don't want to drive the nails in because we may take the floor or part of it with us if we ever build another home. Just one more question--where do you find a nail puller? Places like Home Depot and True Value don't have them, and they don't seem to know what I'm talking about. Is this something I'll have to order myself from a tool company? Rachel
