Garage Door

Installed on my home is double wide aluminum garage door with a name brand screw type opener. It works perfectly but makes a terrible noise opening and closing and scares my grandson. My other home had a wood door and did not seem as loud. Is there any way that it can be toned down some what like lining with insulation or styrefoam.Thanks
