Thank you for both advices. I'm tempted to do the repair myself but was kind of leary because I've never done this before and there is a few electric wires and insulation material in the immediate area. I like doing things myself but also consider associated risk.
If I would do it, should I cut at both ends of the elbow, this may make the vertical pipe shorter and much closer to the floor board? I saw something that looks like a double syringes at Lowes called solderless pipe fitting but not sure if it's good. Do you know if there is any PVC elbow that can connect copper pipes?
