We live in Atlanta. Our basement has been dry for the 3 years since we moved in (prev. owner put in sump pump). With the heavy rains of the past few days, water has come in on the floor next to the cinder block wall(not too much ~1 foot from wall wet under carpet). I noticed that the waterproof coating on the cinderblocks has a few places where it has bubbled up & is powdery. We were in the process of finishing the basement for my son. Can we re-waterproof or should we abandon the project? Also, if we continue, should I put down vinyl flooring or floor paint & rugs? THANKS!!!
