Be sure to use bio degradeable too. Laundry soap, toilet paper etc. Plan a monthly routine of putting chemical in. I use a powder called Septic care once a month and haven't pumped my tank in at least 10 years. Garbage disposals and dish washers and clothes washers are hard on septics. If you can run your grey water somewhere else will help alot. I run mine to my tree line. Plus remember, you're not on city sewer any more, so what ever you flush down there, you'll be the one paying to have it removed.
