Hi, Rhonda. Some people feel that you can paint laminate, but I have seen several disasters. It might stick for a while but I don't know of any way to get the paint to grip the laminate. Personally, I would not try it. But a question--are the frames laminate? If they are not, you could strip just the frames and paint them in a comlpementary color to the door and drawer fronts to lighten the effect a little.
