Over the last few years, I've uncovered and refinished hardwood flooring in a hallway and one other bedroom that connects to that hallway. I just took up the carpeting in the other bedroom that connects to the hallway ... Unlike the other bedroom, in this room, before the previous owners covered up the hardwood, they sunk 200-300ish screws (at least two per board) - I imagine to kill squeaks. My wife doesn't want carpeting in the room, so just turning around and covering up the sins is out. I don't really think wood filler would work as it would absorb the poly/stain differently than the wood and the room would look to have the measles upon completion. Ideas ???
