5-6foot high sections of scaffold can be rented for abut $5 per day (plus planks and 'feet') at any tool rental company. However, scaffolding is NOT the way to go when siding. Professional siders use 'pump jacks' and 'picks' (aluminum planks) which you can raise/lower against the side of a house when installing siding. Otherwise most siding jobs can be accomplished with 1-2 extension ladders and even 'ladder jacks' but I don't recommend them. If you have the bucks to spend, rent a portable power lift....
