I was reading a post and the follow-ups from below about asbestos and it's removal and that lead to do some thinking. Some years ago we had asbestos removed from our hot water pipes that lead to the heat registers from the boiler. We never re-insolated these pipes because I guess I never really thought about doing it. Is there a real advantage in insolating these hot water pipes? Will there be a noticable difference, or should I not worry about and save my money for another project? And if anybody is wondering what it takes to remove the stuff, a certified asbestos remover, lots of water(they wet the stuff down before removal), and about $1500!
