My wife and I are in the middle of revarnishing some old wooden floors which are in very poor condition. The previous owners of our old house painted the dining room floor with reg. house hold paint. You can't mop it because the paint comes off and if we strip it down it is going to take us for ever to take it back to the bare floors if we even can. I am disabled and though a carpenter by retired trade it appears to be more trouble than it would be worth to do that so my wife came up with the idea of sanding it down and covering it with boat paint. Will it work and would it be expensive. She wants something done as it makes it difficult for her to really clean the dining room floor and make the house look nice, she does alot of stuff for me and I would like to find away to make the task easier on her. If its not a good idea maybe you could suggest something else. THANKS!
