I have been fixing up my basement over the past 6 months and am about to install a Window w/a egress system. Normally my basement requires a dehumidifier to keep the moisture level down, but with a window will this be necessary? If I open up my window periodically in the summer will that release the moisture built up? I know I can't run my dehumidifier in the winter, because it just freezes up.
