I am buying an older ranch house and need to put in floors over the plywood. I have two golden retrievers and cannot decide between a laminate, engineered, or old fashioned install and then finish oak floor. The laminate and the old fashioned oak floor will cost about the same but the engineered and solid plank style pre-finished are a bit above my budget. What do you suggest?
