Until one of the regular plumbers show up, try this. Shut of the water at the meter. Starting at the top floors open all the faucets, hot and cold. Work your way to the basement and you do not have to shut off the water heater if you get this done in a few minutes. The object is to get all the water out of your pipes since there will be reservoirs in the wall that are supposed to contain air to stop the vibration. When the chambers are full of water, they no longer perform this function. More modern plumbing codes have different approaches to this but many older houses, since about 1960, have these. When you get the water out, turn the water on at the meter and work your way back up toward the higher floors turning the water off. This should stop the vibration.
