To follow Doug's advice, recheck those switched outlets. If they were wired improperly you might have fried the switch.

If you have an ohm meter, check resistance across the screws with the switch on/off. AFTER turning off the power, of course.

Did you back stab the outlets (say NO) or did you use the screws on the side of the outlet to attach the wires (say YES). Did you wrap the wires arond the lugs in a clockwise direction before torquing the screws down?

Again...reheck the outlets and switches, one by one.
