Sealing concrete floor for carpeting

Thanks Grasshopper! We have had a dehumidifier in the basement since day one (even before it was finished), and are planning a second one now that the basement is kind of divided between finished and unfinished sides. I had not thought about a RH monitor, but it sounds like it is worth the investment. I will be sure to get one.
The basement "feels" dry, but I guess the human body is not the best gauge of RH!
If anybody else has any recommendations for the floor itself, please post-up! I would love to know what I may be in for as far as labor!
