the top 2 feet of wall from where the soffits attach to the friese channel right above the siding, up to where the rafters disappear into the attic, is just horizontal tongue and groove boards running the length of the house. I'm thinking there is only that covering the wall before the insulation and then drywall on the inside. The siding (below the soffits)has some kind of sheathing behind it then the tongue and groove stuff behind that. Is there something I can do to insulate that soffit area more or not. I am told by a carpenter and a building supply store to just leave it, that it should be ok, but.....I think there could be something tacked on for insulation.....comments?
