Adding basement

Carlos, it will be a LOT cheaper and easier for you to move to a new house than to dig a basement under you current house. Your house has a foundation that was designed for your current house and the property that it is on. Changing the foundation means that everything above the foundation may have to be changed. This also means that you could have to update everything to the current building code.

Beyond the basic comments above, it is really impossible for anyone to come up with a realistic figure for what you want done. There are some major construction details that you did not mention, like square footage, for one, and a thousand small details that could become major issues for a job like this.

I think that I speak for all the others who post regularly on this board when I say that we post here because we enjoy helping people. Occasionally, questions come up that are well beyond the scope of this board to adequately answer. This is certainly one of those areas and we would be doing you more harm than good if we attempted to put numbers on something like this.
