There is a product called De-solv or something like that. It is yellow in a non-aerosol, pump
bottle. I bought some at Walmart. It is GREAT at desolving old sticky residue. It even took dried duct tape adhesive off my daughter's car...she had taped plastic over a broken window.

The stuff also works great on anything greasy.

The best use I've found for Resolve is to remove bugs from the car windshield and from the visor of my husband's motorcycle helmet!
