I used round-up (low dilution) last fall on new shoots (after having cut down the large stalks).
As of today's date May 24, 2003 I have yet to see any new shoots this year. If I do I'll keep hitting it with Round-up. It took about 4 separate shots of Round-up last fall. This appears to be working! Good luck!
