A few days after our contractor installed our Americast tub we started hearing some snapping noises. We told our contactor and when he stepped into the tub he walked around and heard snapping noises. It sounded as if something was sticking and the seperating. He described it as air escaping. When the contactor pressed down on the corners of the tub they seperated from the grout. (Unfortunately we have already installed our tile and floor around the tub already before we found this problem). We have also heard there is a silent recall on Americast tubs but we are not sure if this is true or not. Has anyone had this same experience with their tub or know anything about the recall. Thanks!
