22.5 degrees

Henry is correct! Jamie also say you are doing frame work with 45 degree angles nad you want to use trim on the inside of the 45 degree angles then the 22.5 degree angles will fit together inside the 45 degree angles. cut 2 boards with 45 degree angles on the ends(running with the 3/4 inch thickness) glue these together and then cut 2 boards with the 22.5 degree angles(running with the 3/4 inch thickness) glue these angles together and then lay the 22.5 degree glued together boards inside the 45 degree glued together boards and match the angles together they will fit together perfectly. cut 8 boards equal lengths 1x2x8 inches long and cut 22.5 degree angles running across the 3/4 inch thickness. maintain the same length on all the boards. do the same on the other end of the boards and maintain the same length on all the boards make the angles run in the opposite direction of the others. now take these boards and put them on edge and glue them together and you will have an octagon shape
