We are seeking advice. We live in Southeast Missouri and have a high water table at certain times of the year, primarily May. Five years ago we added a 20 x 20 family room to our home. The main house is on a concrete foundation and we have no problems with the water. Due to the water table the past several years we have had water coming up from the ground and rising under the family room. We have been sump pumping the water from underneath the family room to keep it out of the flex duct work.
I wished I had known about the water table problems when I built and had built this on a concrete foundation, thus eliminating the water problem.
I am wondering if there is a way to have someone come in and either pour concrete or seal the crawl space so it would serve as a barrier for the water and stay below.
Would you know of a company near Southeast Missouri who could possible handle this problem? I look forward to your response and advice.
