Waterproof paint

Susanna - there is no such thing as waterproof paint. I would suggest a good alkyd primer - then two coats of 100% acrylic latex topcoat - semi-gloss finish.

Make sure you cover the furniture when you aren't using it - and don't leave the legs sit on the ground or concrete - they will wick water and rot.

That's about the best you will be able to do...
