I am also looking into painting over our vinyl , it is shale blue, darker then the "light blue " siding I thought I was getting when i bought the siding, only until we put it on house did I realize it was a dark shade of light blue( if that makes sense) it almost looks pewinkle and I really dont like it- so I am considering painting over it with the "clay color " siding which is a darker tan- since my house is already a darker shade I wonder if painting it a shade thats as dark as what it already is, would be safe? I dont want to have my siding buckle or warp.
I looked into some paint that 'Sears' has that is supposed to be a very bonding paint - and its the best they offer at $30 a gallon.
Any suggestions or advice is appreciated , thanks!
