venting flat roof

We are turning our garage into the family room this room is currently unfinished and has a flat roof. The house was built in the 50's and the roof joices are set at 16" centers. Not wide enough for a full sheet of durovent venting. So if the sheet is torn in half and used in the 11" sections in the 16" opening will this be enough ventilation or do we need to double up some how to create more air space? Was this post helpful?
