Dave, have you tried using regular household bleach? Run a cycle with no clothes but with the prescribed amount of bleach for a load of wash. Then, you may want to run a load of towels with the prescribed amount of bleach for a load. Towels seem to pick up and hold mold smells. Be sure that you add the bleach to water and not just pour it into a dry washer or pour in on fabric. Your instructions that came with your washer should have details on adding bleach to your loads of fabrics.
