I was just wondering when the Rainbow Company started taking advantage of little old 78 year old ladies who live on a fixed income.

My mother does not always make the best choices...I contribute this to her age and trusting nature...she was encouraged by a "good neighbor" when she lived in Sequim, Washington (she now lives here in Lubbock, Texas close to us)several years to "try it out, it's fantastic"...so she bought one to the tune of $1400 (ouch) now, when you live entirely on social security, that amount hurts...this good old neighbor (who was also a Rainbow salesman, took advantage of her in my estimation...she uses it...about twice a year. When my Wind Tunnel (which I love by the way) broke and I took it in to have the switch repaired, Mom insisted I use her Rainbow...okay, I did, to me it was good for nothing but maybe using as a huge paperweight...overrated, overpriced, too heavy and cumbersome...a pain in the caboose.
I didn't want to hurt Mom's feelings by telling her she was ripped off bigtime major, so I just said, "it's okay"...remember when I mentioned that Mom does not make the best decisions? Well, she got on the phone to her good old (supposedly) neighbor who sold her the last Rainbow, and ....Surprise...she ordered us one for Christmas...well, it came in several weeks before Christmas, she was out of town visiting my sister in Oklahoma, and imagine my surprise...not so pleasantly surprise when we opened this huge monster of boxes and found...a Rainbow...she got ripped off even worse this time...to the tune of $1800. Now, I had to come clean with Mom and tell her I thought it was a piece of c-r-a-p. Definately not worth the $1800...which she couldn't afford to spend in the first place.
I contacted a Rep here in Texas...and, well he was real sorry, but there is only a 3 day return policy...3 DAYS!!!
So here we are stuck with this thing, never been opened, brand new, never been used...the good old neighbor would not take it back...of course, he wants his commission.

So, I am hunting for the national headquarters, if you can help me, please do so, I want to try to let these people know that what they do to consumers is outrageous, especially little old ladies.

Sincerely,

Laura W. Daniel
