The fence I built never cracked or broke and I had horses abusing it. My climate probably is not as cold as yours but it snowed deep, so cold enough. I have operated a plow and pushed snow against the fence (not too hard) but noticed that my neighbors wood pickett fence gave when a wall of snow was pushed while mine stood fast. I found the fence components to be flexible in temperatures through the low 20s. Don't know beyond that. I don't like to go outside if its freezin ya know.
