paint on clear wood finish

jennifer, when you get right down to it, the only real difference between many kinds of paint and many kind of clear finish is that the paint has color pigments in it. Therefore, things that will remove the paint MAY damage the clear finish on the wood. If it's not too noticeable, I suggest leaving it. You might be able to minimize the effect of small spot of white with one of the "Magic Marker" type pens it an appropriate color.
