We have a 4 year old Neptune. They changed the board 4 times, the seal twice. This week, once again the washer does not spin well leaving the clothes soaked...even with very small load. Called a non Maytag serviceman that repairs Maytag. He told us that Maytag has "bypassed" their board (meaning that they do not use the board) to control some of the main motor functions. Now here's the kick, I havent purchased a service contract so this repaireman stated that the board is $175 and with labor the total will be $300. I will try to contact Maytag next week and confront them...but I am sure it is a dead cause. THEIR NEPTUNE has been junk from the beginning and is still junk. You can communicate directly with me for more on this. We have the dryer that wroked always well and even have a convection oven from them that works well. If anyone knows how I can trficate the board to bypass it for the motor, please let me know. One thing sure, I will never buy anything from Maytag again.
