Would Love To Know Too ... Posted by Jay J on September 20th, 1999 10:36 AM In reply to Polyurethene for outdoor decking by Jack Smedley on September 20th, 1999 09:36 AM [Go to top of thread]
Jack, I, personally, am not aware of anything on the market that does what you want based on your post. However, there are a lot of clear sealers that do nicely on Pressure-Treated decks. (You didn't mention what type of deck-wood you have.) Marine Varnish is what I used on the outside portion of my double-entry-doors into the house. As for your deck, what you're asking is kinda contradictory. Shiny but not slippery is a dream. Most products that are shiny ARE slippery, and as for the ones that AREN'T slippery, they AREN'T shiny because there's a grit in them to help with 'traction'. Check out CWF for PT decking. If you have something other than PT decking, go to a local Sherwin Williams, or Finneran & Haley, or MAP Paint Retailer. The CWF can be 'had' at the Home Centers. My best to ya and hope this helps. Jay J
