Mr. Paint, maybe it's the melamine colored paint that was the problem. Now if you used white paint, it might work different, eh? LOL Your riled neighbor is probably checking all the colors, just to be sure, or, maybe checking all the primers. ROTFL

By the way, you can start a good battle on one board I know of by saying that plastic is at least as good and safe for cutting boards as any wood. The college professor who ran that board was not thrilled when I found a government study that disagreed with his government study. The one I found was 10 years newer that the one with which he was involved. The newer stated that it disagreed with his prior one plus giving detailed reasons why. Life seems too short to spend much time worrying about that point.

Personally, I think that I'll go study what kind of paint is best for brick fireplaces then look for new rabbit cage plans.

My daughter started painting her cabinets last weekend. She painted the laminate door and drawer faces and wood face frame with S-W suggested primer and their alkyd paint. The paint is terrible to work with but seemed to grip on well. Haven't seen the final result.
